Quincy Acy has certainly been living up to his “assy” nickname this season, but it’s not his fault. Despite the absence of power forwards on the Kings roster (Rudy Gay doesn’t count), Acy rarely sees the court, and when his feet do hit the hardwood, it isn’t for very long.
Here we see that if the opposing PF has no idea how to play defense (Larry Nance), and if Acy gets to play with Rajon Rondo for the whole time, then Acy will do very well. That’s a very specific set of circumstances, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a DNP-CD the game after putting up eighteen points.
