I could have put “2 Dunks” in the title of this video, but I didn’t. Why? Because they were lame. All he did was catch it under the basket and gently throw it in. He didn’t even grab the rim. If Dwight got those looks, he would have hung on the rim like a monkey, trying to bring down the whole basket apparatus.
Now that I’m thinking about it, I don’t think Splitter has ever truly “thrown it down”. If he’s ever dunked on the run, I don’t remember it happening. If he’s ever dunked with just one hand, I don’t remember it happening either. And I’m almost positive that he’s never elevated more than a few inches to dunk. Does he win the “least exciting dunker” award? If it’s limited to only people who are physically capable of dunking, then yes, he probably wins it. Otherwise, that award is going to Luke Ridnour.
