DownToBuck is known for writing a lot of crap in these description boxes. Lots of it. A never-ending torrent of it. Which means, sometimes, simply by the laws of averages or something, he’ll end up being right sometimes! Like when he wrote these words near the beginning of Corey Brewer’s tenure with the Rockets:
“Rockets fans may be happy with him currently, but I’m wondering how they will react once it is revealed that he sucks. They are a fickle fanbase; as soon as he stops hitting all these improbable threes and returns to not having any range they will turn on him.”
Ha! Ha! I am vindicated. It turns out that once Corey Brewer regressed to his norm of “not being able to hit an outside shot ever”, Rockets fans behaved exactly as predicted and started vilifying him! I mean, wouldn’t you? He’s shooting about 30% from the field! He is low-key really doing horrible, and, just like Greivis Vasquez, no one outside his home market realizes yet.
This video doesn’t go very far in making them realize, either. Corey looks perfectly competent in these highlights. Do not be fooled.
