Will Barton just scored 50 points over four quarters of action. Not in a single game, but still. Pretty bananas, right? Right. Totally bananas. No doubt about it.
He then proceeded to score 7 over the following three quarters. We can just forget about that, for the most part. Like it didn’t even happen. Why would you want to detract from his achievement? You wouldn’t. No one would.
So let’s just soak in the fact that Will Barton is now one of the league’s premiere scorers, just like Terrence Ross and Corey Brewer were for a little while there. There is even a bit of hope that he can continue scoring, if not at a 50 in 4 quarters rate, at a sixth-man-of-the-year type rate for the rest of the season! Hope is such a beautiful thing.
