I’m done being excited for Boban Marjanovic. It was fun while it lasted, but it let’s be honest, it always felt a little patronizing. Maybe not for fans of his from Serbia, but for the general NBA fan, yeah, the adoration he has been receiving is totally patronizing. Besides, I’ve got a man-crush on a new Euro giant:
Tibor Pleiss.
I’m officially HYPED for Tibor Pleiss. Not hyped enough to do highlights of the 8 points he scored (I have standards, god damn it), but still pretty hyped. He’s only a bit shorter than Boban, but way worse as a player and on a team that doesn’t magically turn all its players into studs. No one knows about him yet, but that will change once, uh, actually that’s probably not going to change.
On second thought, now would have been a good time to break my policy of only doing single player highlights. Can you say “Boban Marjanovic vs Tibor Pleiss UNREAL BIGMAN FREAK DUEL 21 pts Combined!!!”?
