When I saw the Nuggets were beating the Heat by sixteen at the half, I thought to myself “makes sense since the Heat suck now, good job Nuggets,” and then moved on with my life. Imagine my surprise when I saw that the Nuggets had lost by three! I didn’t have a drink in my mouth at the time, but if I had, it would have comically sprayed out in every direction.
Darrell “The Aardvark” Arthur did his best to will his team to victory by scoring eighteen points on what basically amounted to a whole bunch of midrange jumpers. There is one layup in there but really we’re talking about pretty much all jumpers. Yeah, they’re the worst shot in basketball, but if you’re canning them effortlessly like a ten-year-old dunking on a Playskool hoop, then all of a sudden they start being a pretty good shot.
The good news for the Nuggets is that, even though they lost, they got to wear those sweet ice-blue alternate jerseys while they lost. I don’t usually like the sleeved uniforms but these things are ice-cold swag af. I’m thinking about handing in my Bucks fan card just so I have justification to by one of those babies in T-Shirt format.
