How foolish I was to doubt the Hawesian one himself, Spencer Hawes. When I made a video chronicling his sixteen-point performance a few nights ago, it was made under the assumption that he would fail to exceed that point total in what remained of the season. Never did I think that he would somehow manage to score more than sixteen in any circumstance ever, except perhaps if he was sent down to the D-League. Now Spencer has made me look a fool.
However, the REAL fool here is DeMarcus Cousins, who might have scored 56, true, but also allowed the Hawesian to can four triples in a row against him. After the second one he really should have been closing out more aggressively. There’s no way Hawes would ever be able to maintain his dribble all the way from the arc to the paint. Know your personnel, man.
