It has come to my attention that Nikola “Vucci Mane” Vucevic doesn’t even like the nickname “Vucci Mane”. That’s too bad, because I really think it’s the best one that he has (even if I don’t exactly know who Gucci Mane is), but I will respect his wishes and not use it for at least the next 48 hours. It’ll be tough.
It occurred to me while watching this game that I was receiving some verious Vooch-vibes from Deandre Ayton. Like, these things were intense, and they came on so suddenly. Such intensive vibes. I would like to give myself credit for somehow making an NBA player comparison that crossed racial boundaries, but I shouldn’t. I can’t control what my vibe-receptors receive. I can only receive, and accept what they tell me. And in this case, they told me that Ayton’s best case scenario is the current version of Vucevic.
That might sound bad, but it’s really not, because the current version of Vucevic is kicking all kinds of butt right now. He’s always been a 20-10 sort of guy, minus a tiny amount of the points and rebounds, but this year he looks on track to clear both marks. He’s doing it all right now, not just the scoring and the ‘bounding but also the passing and the defending. Actually, don’t trust me on the defending part. It just seems like that was the next thing Vucci Mane could add to his game.
