Jamal Murray continues to suffer karmic retribution for that last-second three he took in a won game while trying to get 50. The universe totally pays attention to that stuff, and when it sees you don’t play according to its rules, it alters physics slightly to mess you up. It can do that, why couldn’t it, it’s the universe after all. It makes its own rules.
So if you’re wondering why Murray’s point totals are slightly low lately, that’s why. Hard to make shots when the gravitational constant chances for a few milliseconds while your shot is in the air.
Murray’s still hitting double-figures every game, so that’s good. He was almost a 20-game streak of that going, which I think is getting close to LeBron James’ record of… let me look it up…can’t find the exact number but it’s huge… 800-something. Okay, so not that close. That’s like 10 full seasons without messing up even one time.
