Thomas Bryant 16 Points Full Highlights (12/5/2018)

After being an afterthought for the entire year last season, Thomas Bryant is now the starting center for a playoff contender in the East. Yeah, the ‘Zards are not so good right now, but they’re looking better. They’re on the upswing. They’re not too far from .500 which is basically a guaranteed playoff spot in their laughably weak conference. And that’s with Bryant starting. Imagine how good they’d be if they had someone good like… Dwight Howard as their five-man.

I apologize for taking the lowest hanging fruit I could find and slamming it into my maw like I had never eaten anything so delicious before.

Each game where Bryant looks like a semi-passable starting center makes the Ian Mahinmi contract look that much worse. He’s getting paid so much right now that I don’t even want to type it out, lest I offend my female viewers’ delicate sensibilities. And he’s getting paid that to sit on the bench and literally never play. Everyone wants to talk about how John Wall is the problem in Washington D.C., but what about the unplayable lump taking up a huge percentage of the cap?

Luckily Bryant makes up for it by being so reasonably-priced. Good teams find value where value maybe isn’t expected to be found. I don’t know what else they have done in the past 10 years that could also qualify, but Bryant is a decent find. Sort of.
