Bam “Slam” Adebayo notched a career-high tonight. “Yeah that’s great DTB, I see that right in the title of the video, that’s the first thing I look at when decided whether or not to watch a video, so why don’t you give us some actual enlightening content you degenerate cretin?” you think. So let me rephrase that. Bam “Slam” Adebayo notched a career-high tonight.
In the first half.
He dominated eanre Ayton with devastating lob slams over and over in the first 24 minutes. He had a few non-lob buckets, including an unfair circus shot to start things off, but he otherwise performed exactly as expected when it comes to the types of shots he made. Adebayo didn’t really need to do much in the second half, the Suns’ omnipresent suckitude denying us a possible 30-burger. That’s the problem with dominating too hard in the first half; you get benched early in the second because of the gigantic lead you caused.
I was sort of hoping for more point-Adebayo in this video, like what we were seeing in Summer League, but it seems like that particular experiment has been put on hold while the Heat try to figure out how to win some games. Probably for the best. You know how jealous Hassan Whiteside would get if Adebayo got to do guard-esque things? He’d want to do it for himself, which would be funny, but also horrible.
