Vince Carter 21 Points/1 Dunk Full Highlights (12/29/2018)

Vince Carter has played 21 seasons in the NBA, and not one of them has ended in a championship. He’s not on the same level as, say, Karl Malone in terms of being an all-timer who couldn’t quite get it done, but that’s a long time without any rings. Not everyone is as blessed as those Celtics randoms who won a bunch of them just for existing, and not everyone is as clutch as Robert Horry, but just one isn’t too much to ask.

Which is why I humbly propose this trade in order to help Carter get a ring: Thon Maker for him. The Bucks will even give Jaylen Morris back to the Hawks if that’s what it takes. I am only proposing this trade to aid Carter’s ring-acquisition. I am not proposing it because I have any sort of serial dislike for Maker. That couldn’t be farther from the truth! I love Maker. He’s really, really great, he has great hands, he knows what he’s doing on the basketball court, he’s an A+ prospect but sometimes you have to make sacrifices. So the Hawks get a prospect who would probably go number one in the draft next year (and there’s a chance that he does so, he’s changed his age in the past so there’s no reason he couldn’t do it again), and the Bucks, who are on their way to a championship, get some extra veteran savvy to replace Jason Terry.

As a comparison, Maker scored 0 points today but looked really good while doing it, he was really special out there, and Carter had 21 including a motorcycle-revving slam. Not a fair trade in the end, but as I said, the Bucks are willing to make this sacrifice.
