Boban Marjanovic 18 Points Full Highlights (12/11/2018)

I bet Greg Monroe is feeling a bit sore right now, both literally and figuratively. He almost never gets into games (he’s honestly being misused just as much as Boban is), so he was probably eager to come off the bench for seven minutes against the Clippers. But wait! Doc Rivers decided to play Boban Marjanovic for the final quarter as well. In the matchup between a lumbering center who’s six foot eleven and a lumbering center who’s seven foot three, the taller guy’s gonna win every time.

Monroe was limited to two points on 0-of-3 shooting, while Boban feasted on him just like he feasted on Valanciunas (before Valanciunas was mercifully evacuated from the game by his own coach). The only plus side of Monroe’s lack of minutes is that he gets a chance to dominate weak, willowy third-string centers when he gets into games, but Boban is the exact opposite of a weak, willowy third-string center. He’s a strong, thickly-built center who honestly should be first-string for the Clippers.

My current plan to get Boban more minutes is to buy a team in the Polish national league and then offer Marcin Gortat a contract bigger than any contract that has ever been paid in that league. He would have no choice but to leave the NBA and live as a hero in his own country. Then Boban would finally start getting the minutes he deserves. I think I might start a GoFundMe to make this happen.
